How to Build the Perfect Summer Resort Capsule

How to Build the Perfect Summer Resort Capsule

Pack light. Live fully.

A great holiday wardrobe does not mean packing more. It means packing smarter! A handful of pieces that work together, travel well, and make you feel good from the moment you arrive.

Here my tips for how to build one.

Start with one hero piece

Every good capsule wardrobe has an anchor, the piece everything else revolves around. For a resort trip, that is usually a maxi dress or kaftan. Something loose, breathable, and versatile enough to wear on the beach, at lunch, and into the evening. Our free size colorful halter dress comes in various colours and is cut in soft cotton that only gets better with wear. It's also prefect for layering. Start there.

Add a robe or kimono

A lightweight robe or kimono does more work than almost any other piece you could pack. Wear it over a swimsuit, as a layer on a breezy evening, or belted as a dress. It takes up almost no space in your bag and solves at least three outfit problems before breakfast.

Keep accessories minimal but intentional

One good scarf. A tote bag big enough for the beach. A pair of earrings that work day to night. That is really all you need. A hand-embroidered silk scarf, for example, doubles as a hair wrap, a bag accessory, or a light cover-up, and it weighs almost nothing.

Choose natural fabrics only

Cotton, linen, silk. These breathe, they pack well, and they look better slightly lived-in. Synthetic fabrics trap heat and show every crease. On a holiday, that matters more than you think.

A resort capsule wardrobe is not about having options for every scenario. It is about having the right pieces, fewer of them, chosen well. Browse our resort wear collection to get started.
