RaasLeela is this amazing company I recently discovered- They follow sustainability as a lifestyle by repairing, conserving and consuming less and following eco-friendly practices. This quilt is known as the Sujani craft from Gujarat. It is at the verge of extinction as there are only very few artisans left who are practicing. Rafiqbhai is one of the artisan who has the last traditional loom. If he stops, it is probably gone! It’s a true work of art.
This product is made under the project “Unschooled Artist” where designer and artisan together developing a product using traditional techniques but modified to fit into today’s market. Modern designs keeping the craft intact is the inspiration behind the design process. There’s also are matching pillows.
